The term staging your home is relatively new. It simply means to do things to put your home in its best light for potential buyers. It is much like an auto dealer who details a car before putting it up for sale. Like staging a home, it is done in an effort to get top dollar.
When we are asked to market and sell your home or condo we will review the property and provide a list of suggestions that we feel will increase the value of your home without costing you a lot of dollars. We are not in the business to spend your money, yet there are often things you can do that will make a big difference when it comes time to sell your home.
In general, we look to see to see if there are things that can be done to encourage a potential buyer to say YEAH verses No-Way. We have represented hundreds of home buyers and have a good idea of turn-offs and turn-ons.
There are many fine articles on the subject of getting your home ready to sell. Below we have links to several articles we found useful and honest. Much of what they have to say costs very little yet has proven to generate higher sales prices.
