2012 Coronado Historic Home Tour Wrap Up and YouTube Video

2012 Coronado Home Tour (4 of 90)This past weekend the people of Phoenix were treated to the 2012 Coronado Historic Home Tour. This is an annual event and this year the homeowners of Coronado Historic celebrated their 25th year providing a look at homes in Coronado Historic.

The day was simply perfect with bright blue skies, a light breeze and lots of happy people. The layout for the 2012 Coronado Historic Home Tour was easy to navigate and thousands of Phoenicians enjoyed a peek into Phoenix’s past. I want to give a big thumbs up on the tour guide. The layout was the perfect mix of artsy-architectural and good info.

In all, eleven properties, dozens of vendor booths, an antique car show and entertainment gave visitors lots to do. The vendors were lined up down Sheridan along with the various cars on display while most of the homes were on the north/south side streets. The homes on tour were mostly bungalow style with a couple ranch style, a farm house and a cottage that looked tiny from the street but opened into a surprisingly large home. Being a magician, I really liked the illusion this cottage home presented.

In addition to the homes was one commercial building. Originally a grocery store and warehouse during the 1930, this place has been home to many businesses including it’s present occupants, Swiss Metal Works and Mark Morgan Photography.

We want to send our hardy thanks to the amazing team that put this day together. It takes countless hours to pull an event of this magnitude together and everyone I spoke with had a grand time. Rebecca, Bert, Michael, June, Nola, Bob, Chris, Norina, Mary, Kelly, Keith, Debora, Lola, Kirsten, Tiffany, Donna, Carol, Maria, Stacy, Mariah, Richard, Hugo, all the homeowners and others who put this 25th Anniversary home tour together should be proud. As a man who loves loves our historic homes… I truly thank you!

Below you’ll find a YouTube video of the Coronado Historic tour. We took a lot of pictures and included a brief blurb about the various homes. We hope you enjoy.
