Downtown Phoenix is about to get something very special… Portland on the Park. What is Portland on the Park? It is the long awaited second phase of Portland Place condominiums just west of Central Avenue on Portland Street.
Like Portland Place, Portland on the Park will be a Habitat Metro project with Davis Architecture creating the design. - There is talk of a restaurant and coffee house on the ground floor adding to the sense of community. This is not confirmed at this time.
- Pricing starting in the $200,000’s and moving up to the $900,000’s for the penthouse units.
More About Portland on the Park
Portland on the Park is the first major new residential project since the fall of the market. Tim Sprague, principle at Habitat Metro, was asked why it took so long to come out with phase two in an Downtown Phoenix Journal articlel. His response was honest:
One word pure and simple, Economics. Since Portland Place was built we’ve weathered the Great Recession and downtown Phoenix has rapidly matured. We have new quality restaurants, the ASU downtown campus, CityScape, the Phoenix Biomedical campus, etc. In essence, downtown is growing a real urban environment, growing past its adolescence.
Despite the project not breaking ground for a few more months, there is much excitement and anticipation for Portland on the Park. Early reservations will likely begin in late September with a sale office opening on October 17th.
