Phoenix is home to 35 various historic home districts. Several of the neighborhoods host historic home tours allowing the public an intimate look inside homes from the early 1900’s. The historic home tours generally feature 10-12 homes, a street fair, food, and live music.
Below is a list of the historic home tours scheduled for 2015
The Willo home tour is the largest of the historic home tours in Phoenix. The neighborhood goes all out for this event that draws thousands of people to this special community. Since Willo Historic is home to hundreds of vintage homes, they are able to show off a dozen or so very special properties from the early 1900’s.
The Willo Home tour for 2015 will be held on Sunday February 8th from 10:00 am -4:00 pm. Tickets will be available in advance or at the event. Look for our upcoming post that will provide all the details for this fun day.
Coronado Historic Home and Garden Tour:
The folks in Coronado Historic District have a lot of fun putting together their annual historic home tour. 2015 will mark the 28th such celebration.
Guests will have the opportunity to see a variety of homes from the 1920-1940’s at the Coronado Home and Garden Tour. In addition, the organizers put together a classic car show, lots of music and food galore.
The 2015 Coronado Historic Home and Garden Tour, themed Carnival De Coronado, will be held on Sunday March 1st 2015 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Encanto Palmcroft Historic Home Tour 2015:
Encanto Palmcroft is often heralded as the most impressive historic home district. It’s numerous estate sized homes from the 1920’s is unmatched.
The Encanto Palmcroft Historic Home Tour happens every other year, thus making public access to neighborhood homes more rare. Like the other home tours, Encanto Palmcroft has a street fair, food trucks and lots of people having fun.This year’s tour is happening on Sunday, March 29, 2015.
Evan Churchill Interesting Interiors Tour:
The Evans Churchill neighborhood puts together a lot of community events including the Interesting Interiors Home Tour. Nothing has been announced yet regarding the 2015 event that generally happens in the Fall. We will update this post as we get details.
FQ Story Home Tour 2015
The FQ Story home tour is the final one of the year. It is a holiday celebration that happens over two days. The first is actually an evening tour complete with carolers, luminary lined streets and about 10 homes to view. The second part is a daylong event that adds a great holiday street fair, perfect for finding special gifts.
The 2015 FQ Story Home tour will happen on Saturday, December 5th and Sunday the 6th. Detail will be posted as we get closer to the event. NOTE: Since this post is going live before the FQ Story 2014 Home tour we have a link for info on the tour here.
