In total, Phoenix boasts 35 historic neighborhoods dating from the early to mid 1900’s, each one designated by the National Register of Historic Places. Our Phoenix historic district profiles will help you learn more about your favorite community with articles, essays, photos, videos and listings. This is an ongoing project for The Caniglia Group as we research the history of the districts, talk to home owners, take pictures and write articles that offer a true sense of what it’s like to live in an historic Phoenix home or neighborhood. We’re still researching many of these areas and so some of them don’t have links to more information just yet.
Alvarado
One of the premiere historic districts in Phoenix with estate-style homes from the 1920’s and 30’s.
Ashland Place
A great neighborhood just off of Central Ave. with Revival style homes from the 1920’s and 30’s.
Brentwood
Brentwood Historic offers true Revival style homes at an affordable price.
Campus Vista
A fine historic neighborhood near Phoenix College. You’ll find many ranch-style homes here.
Cheery Lynn
This is an enclave of mostly Tudor and Southwest Revival homes. It’s truly a special part of Downtown Phoenix’s history.
Coronado Historic District

Country Club Park
A 1940’s-era neighborhood with myriad ranch-style homes and a 2.5-acre park in the middle. It’s also close to many great restaurants!
Del Norte Place
A rich collection of homes near Phoenix’s Encanto Park.
Earll Place
One of the oldest subdivisions in Downtown Phoenix that’s lined with a vast collection Revival style homes – think English Tudor.
East Alvarado
A charming block of fairly large homes from the late 1930’s and early 40’s.
East Evergreen
This is a small historic district near 7th St. and McDowell Rd. known for its Craftsman-style bungalows.
Encanto Manor
A quaint golf course neighborhood full of ranch-style homes.
Encanto-Palmcroft
This is arguably the most prestigious historic home district in Phoenix.
Encanto Vista
Another enclave of mid-century ranch style homes adjacent to Encanto Park.
Fariview Place
Fairview Place Historic district offers affordable historic Revival and ranch style homes.
F.Q. Story
A pleasant neighborhood with many fine period Revival homes.

An up-and-coming neighborhood with smaller, lower-priced historic Phoenix homes.
Idylwilde Park
A small historic district with a private park and Revival style homes.
La Hacienda
This neighborhood is known for its large Spanish and Monterey Revival style homes.
Los Olivos
A small historic district with large lots and grand homes.
Margarita Place
An enclave of 33 historic homes in the northwest region of Downtown Phoenix.
Medlock Place
A great neighborhood with a variety of home styles, located in the popular North Central Phoenix Corridor.
North Encanto
A charming historic district with a lot of well-kept and nicely landscaped ranch homes from the 1940’s and 50’s.

Phoenix Homesteads
A unique enclave of established homes to the east of Downtown Phoenix.
Pierson Place
A range of architectural styles, from bungalows to different period revivals including English Cottages, Pueblo Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival, plus modern ranch and Southwest Style homes. This district offers something for everyone.
Roosevelt Historic
