Regency House Condominiums is a wonderful example of mid-century architecture created by George Schoneberger, AIA in 1964. Schoneberger, like many other architects of the time, created buildings that were works of art where form and function met modern art.
In 2005 Regency House residents voted to renovate the building and bring it back to its historic greatness. A lobby update was the first project with tasteful additions that retained the mid-century grace while capturing the history of downtown Phoenix through 76 historical photos professionally galleried in the space. You really should drop by and see what was done. I found it inviting and inspiring.
After completing the lobby redesign the association of homeowners began addressing more structural, mechanical and exterior updates to Regency House; They developed a 3 phase plan from their study. All three phases are now completed with many structural and mechanical improvements made including a new chiller, tower and boiler.
