Landmark Towers is a condominium community at 4750 N Cental Ave in Midtown Phoenix AZ. Landmark Towers was originally an upscale apartment building known as Camelback Towers and converted to condos in 2004.
A wonderful article on Wikipedia describes the history of Central Avenue and offers insights into why projects like Landmark Towers came into existence. The 1950’s and 1960’s were quite a time in our City’s history.
The Urban Living Landmark Towers
Landmark Towers has had it’s ups, downs and more recent ups. After the conversion to condos it did very well. It was newly updated and had a great feel. The project developers described the place as “Best of Mid-Century Chic Meets Best of Urban Living.” Owners loved the location and life was good at Landmark Towers.
The glamor faded a bit when the market fell in 2007 and the building was having some plumbing and HVAC issues. Lawsuits against contractors were filed for the building’s problems and many owners lost their places due to the real estate market collapse. It was not a pretty time.
Moving forward a few years, Landmark Towers is seeing much better times. We are told the law suit was settled, updates and upgrades have been made, values have gone up and residents are much happier. Below is a review on Yelp:
I have friends that live in the landmark towers and they love the community, and I can understand why. They have seen so many upgrades throughout the years that they have lived there, it seems like every time I visit they have upgraded and remodeled, from the roof top lounge, and decor. I have enjoyed spending time at their condo which feels like a posh, upscale boutique hotel in NY or Chicago, with stunning views of the whole valley. Plus they have a movie theater near the cabana pool lounge. There is a cute bistro cafe on the premises with the best burgers and wine bar, dry-cleaners, shopping, they have everything right outside their door. I live in L.A. and love visiting them when I’m in town.
