Tonight, the College of Nursing and Health Care Innovation in downtown Phoenix will play host to another of the Phoenix Mayoral candidate forums.

Many are hoping the debate will be filled with quality ideas and a bit of fire like the last debate provided.

Tonight’s mayors race program will feature all the candidate including, Anna Brennan, Wes Gullett, Claude Mattox, Peggy Neely, Greg Stanton and Jennifer Wright. What may prove to be different about tonight’s event is its focus on the downtown region.

The June 13th mayors forum is sponsored by many organizations who have a vested interest and opinion about what makes downtown Phoenix vital… plus, many of these people actually vote. Among the sponsors are:  Phoenix Community Alliance and Downtown Phoenix Journal in partnership with Arizona Citizens for the Arts, Arizona Preservation Foundation, Artlink Inc., Downtown Voices Coalition, FQ Story Preservation Association, Garfield Organization: a Neighborhood Alliance, Grand Avenue Merchants Association, Local First Arizona, Midtown Museum District Neighborhood Association, Phoenix Historic Neighborhood Coalition, Phoenix Revitalization Corporation, Roosevelt Action Association, Roosevelt Row Community Development Corporation, Seventh Avenue Merchants Association and the Willo Neighborhood Association.

If you can not make it to ASU’s College of Nursing for the event, don’t worry. The gang at DPJ is offering a live feed of the forum. Way to go DPJ.

The doors will open at 4:45 p.m. Program will begin at 5:15 p.m. First Come First Seated… this means, arrive early if you want to get in.
