There is a big event coming to downtown Phoenix this month (January 2015). Come explore the TrueDTPHX on January 23rd and 24th. Before we talk about it I have to give a big shout out to Downtown Phoenix Inc and the business owners in downtown Phoenix. They are doing so much to make DTPHX a place to be proud to call our own.
What is the TrueDTPHX Event?
The TrueDTPHX event is a weekend of cultural events, music, art exhibits, food and just plain fun.
TureDTPHX starts on Friday, Jan. 23 and continues on Saturday, Jan. 24. This is Pro Bowl weekend and days before millions come to DTPHX for the Super Bowl events. Many downtown businesses have come together to make this a great start to 2015 and to let people know what an amazing downtown is happening in Phoenix.
What’s Happening at the TrueDTPHX Event?
Let’s start with Friday, Jan. 23, 2015
Roosevelt Row Sidewalk Sale at TrueDTPHX Event
A bit like First Friday with the restaurants and businesses keeping late hours. They’ll be doing the same on Saturday night too. The Sidewalk Sale will feel a bit like a Nigh Market with vendors and merchants showing off their abundant artwork, nifty clothing, collectibles, handmade jewelry and more.
Where is The Roosevelt Row Sidewalk Sale Located
Seventh Avenue to 16th Street and from McDowell Road to Fillmore Street. The focus will be along Roosevelt Street.
Try A Sampling of Roosevelt Row Food.
- Since having fun needs nourishment, we suggest take a trip to:
- Short Leash Sit…Stay for a hearty $5 taster of Corndog Bites and Sausage Meatballs.
- Carly’s Bistro: one of our favorite local places and on our 100 Things to Do in Downtown Phoenix page.
- Newly-opened Paz Cantina, featuring a draft beer and either a Chicken Tinga or Carnitas Taco for a mere $5.00.

This exhibit is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily Jan. 23 through Feb. 1st and is located at 813 N 1st Street.
TrueDTPHX Civic Space Park Concert

TrueDTPHX continues on Saturday, Jan 24th. There is a lot happening that day and we suggest you head on over to the DTPHX.org site for more info.
BTW… If you or someone you know is coming to DTPHX for the Super Bowl experience activates, we’ve created a Super Bowl Restaurant Guide for them to find walk-able restaurants and local favorites. Click here and share often.
