While many things are vastly different this summer from those of the past, there is still one reality that we don’t anticipate ever changing – it’s just too hot to cook every day. The good news is, our beloved local downtown restaurants have pivoted and found a way to continue offering take-out, delivery, and even some in-person dining. And beyond the fact that we are all simply tired of cooking, they need our support now more than ever! Here are a few of our favorite places that not only fill our bellies, but also soothe our souls.

When You Want Happy Hour
Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour features inspired and award winning take-out cocktails and food from this innovative and stylish spot located in the Luhrs Building. Fun Fact: Bitter & Twisted has once again been recognized for having one of the best cocktail menus in the world by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, and was recently honored in two categories: World’s Best Cocktail Menu and Best American High Volume Cocktail Bar.
When You Want Breakfast
The Breakfast Club is located in Cityscape and serves a huge variety of breakfast and lunch options – including cocktails – daily until 2pm. And dine in is still available!
When You’re Missing Roosevelt Row
Carly’s Bistro is a Roosevelt favorite, with delicious and eclectic sandwiches, salads and cocktails – all available for curbside pick-up right now.
When You’re Feeling Swanky
Hanny’s is a swanky restaurant and bar located in the famous Hanny’s Department Store building that was designed by prominent local architects in the 40’s. Known for their stylish and trendy cocktails, food, and atmosphere, we suggest ordering a Classic Martini. And make sure you check out the basement!
When You’re In The Mood For A Little Heat
Monroe’s Hot Chicken is touted as ‘The Best of Nashville in Downtown Phoenix’ and rightfully so! Located in the Luhrs Tower, this popular downtown restaurant is known for their friendly atmosphere, great music and all things spicy. Make sure to order some southern slaw to cool you down just in case!
