Our Current Favorite Coffee Spots in Tempe, Downtown Phoenix, and South Scottsdale

Calling all coffee connoisseurs, matcha masters, tea titans, and espresso experts! Each member of our Urban Connection team lives, works, and plays in the North Central & Downtown Phoenix areas; as well as Tempe and South Scottsdale. Because of this, we specialize in and have the expertise about the amazing hotspots and gems our communities offer. And we especially love our coffee spots. From fueling up in the morning before showings to surprising our clients with their favorite sips at a closing, we have spent a lot of time narrowing down our top choices for a crave-worthy beverage. And we thought we’d share a few of our current top coffee shop recommendations for those looking too!

Tempe – Seattle Espresso

First opening their doors in Tempe during March of 1993, Seattle Espresso has certainly become a local favorite; and for good reason! Because they’ve helped firmly plant Seattle’s Vital Espresso and Coffee Culture right here in our sunny state. Plus, their passion for providing the finest coffee experience has allowed them to truly get a taste of who their customers really are, and what they really want. It shows in each drip and pour; and it’s the reason they still have such a loyal customer base all these years later. So, what should you try if you’ve never visited before? We highly recommend the Iced White Russian Mocha. It includes espresso for those looking for an extra boost in the morning! It’s also perfect for these hot Arizona days, while still keeping us fueled for our busy schedules ahead.

Downtown Phoenix – Luana’s Coffee & Beer

Previously located in the beloved historic Helen Anderson House on McDowell Road and Third Avenue, Luana’s Coffee and Beer is now making a move to a new location in the old Mu Shu Asian Grill on 15th Avenue and Thomas Road. While the new space is under construction, Luana’s blue coffee cart will be stationed just outside their doors. And will still be offering coffee and other goodies for guests until the new location is ready! While we’ll miss the old location, we’re so thrilled to see what they do in the new building. Even more exciting is that in this new space they will be expanding their menu; and they’ll be adding even more entertainment, like extra billiards tables, to enjoy while visiting. While we’re so eager to try their new stuff, we just had to add them to our list of current favorites and share with you one of our top suggestions. For your next order, any one of their delectable lattes would be an incredible choice, but we propose trying the Beautiful Chaos latte. It’s 2 muddled Reese’s that are melted with Espresso and then drizzled with chocolate and vanilla. ‘Nuff said.

South Scottsdale – Four (Coffee by fourtillfour)

Built in 2015, the Fourtillfour Cafe is just as much of an experience as it is simply a wonderful place to get some third-wave coffee. Aiming to unify both coffee and car culture through events (such as car shows and a Sunday motor club), media, and their own personal ritual of coffee, their cafe is one you absolutely have to visit in person to fully appreciate. Spread throughout are vintage machines that bring to life a simple, yet impeccable menu. And in addition to being a really cool place to hang out, they even have their very own coffee line. It features three blends inspired by their automobile muses; and each one is roasted in-house on the vintage Probat they specially brought in. When deciding on what to get if you pop in, you can’t go wrong with a drip of one of their Four Coffee blends. They specifically use their Sunday Motor Club blend every day in the cafe because of its balanced sweetness that is perfect for almost any drink. And we couldn’t agree more!
