We took the time to look into new “must-try” places in Phoenix that have the perfect mix of food, drinks, and activities. During our hunt we found a plethora of options, but we narrowed it down to our three favorite: The Genuine in Phoenix, Châm Pang Lanes in Phoenix, and Tia Carmen in North Phoenix!
The Genuine
The Genuine in Phoenix, located on 16th street, is a restaurant serving up fine cocktails and delectable food. They deliver an elevated dining experience and the restaurant is built around the executive chef, Chef Jeremy Pacheco. The Genuine team’s menu of shareable, wood-fired cuisine features items on their menu like House-Made Garlic Knot Pull-Apart Bread, Wood Oven Roasted Mussels with orange blossom ale and Schreiner’s sausage, or Charred Spanish Octopus, cooked inside the kitchen’s custom Forno Bravo oven. This spot has an impeccable selection of local craft beers, wines, and cocktails. Our suggestion? A popular cocktail is their signature smoked old fashioned, called Up In Smoke.
Châm Pang Lanes
Another ‘must try” place on our list is Châm Pang Lanes, located on 2nd street, that is a unique and fun spot. It is a restaurant, bar, and bowling alley all in one! They even have a champagne bar, while also having an exquisite menu full of cocktails. Not to mention, they have colorful, lively decor. As a matter of fact, the bar is a circular shape and above it a really cool ceiling full of disco balls! While there, you have the option to play pool, or bowl, you can snack on their asian inspired cuisine. Our must-tries are their Thai Curry Fries and Chicken Strips. For drinks, we recommend their G&T, or their Mai Tai, served in a asian inspired takeout container!
Tia Carmen
Tia Carmen, located in North Phoenix, is a new high-end restaurant that you must keep your eye on. Their menu is full of delectable, hand-crafted items that will leave you stunned. Their presentation is beautiful for both food and drinks; and they have a wide menu of delicious, curated beverages. We recommend their mushroom menudo, or their must-try 30-day dry aged tribal land Arizona grass fed New York strip. Who can say no to that?
